Prasutitantra Stree Roga
Prasutitantra Stree Roga :
Prasuti Tantra and Stree Roga is an important clinical subject included in 3rd year BAMS subject which deals with the study of Streeroga (Gynaecology) and Prasutitantra (Obstetrics) in different stages of women’s life. The subject covers the topic of women’s health, gynaecological disorders and different phases of pregnancy, pre- natal, antenatal and post- natal care. Unique topic such as Garbhini paricharya, Sutika paricharya, Punsavan vidhi, Garbha sanskar, etc. are covered in this subject. Hospital clinical OPD is well furnished with well-equipped Labour room, spacious operation theatre . Department has Qualified, enthusiastic, competent faculty which perform routine gynaecological and obstetrical treatment and procedures.
Students get ample experience in clinical postings by observing various procedures, deliveries, operations like caesarean section, MTP etc. Interacting with patients in the ward (IPD) the student enhanced there knowledge. Various procedures such as Uttar-basti, Yoni-dhavana, Dhoopana etc. are done under this department .
