Rognidan Avum Vikruti Vigyan :
Rog Nidan evum Vikriti Vigyan subject deals knowledge of examination of patient, diagnosis of disease & laboratory investigations. This subject is included in 2nd yr syllabus of BAMS. This subject teaches pathological and diagnostic approach through both modern and Ayurveda view. It includes Ashta stana pariksha, exploring about nadi (pulse), mutra (urine), mala (faeces), jighwa (tongue), shabda (auscultation), sparsha (palpation), drik (inspection) and akriti (physical built). This subject needs theory knowledge and clinical approach. Students should performed all investigations individually and get approached to patients clinical postings are given to students.
Blood, Urine, Stool examination are performed by students. Reading X-ray, EGC, CT scan etc are taught to students. For this a well developed central laboratory having facilities for hematological, biochemical examinations and microbiological investigation is being established in hospital. Biochem Analyzer, Haemotological Cell Counter like advanced equipment’s as well as traditional Ayurvedic diagnostic methods instruments are available in Central Pathology Laboratory. The teaching laboratory is well equipped with all necessary required equipment such as Binocular Microscope, digital centrifuge machine etc and also possesses various models of pathology and specimens
